Reflections on Numeracy Week

Numeracy week activities ranged from the creation of beautiful origami to trying to guess the number of lollies in the jar and the identity of some masked teachers. Hundreds of students participated in the activities and we had 206 students who actually submitted entries for competitions  - WOW!

Overall, Numeracy Week was a real success and here’s
what our students had to say :

“fun and interesting! I’ve been doing the challenges in my
spare time. “
“cool and unique.”
“I loved the different activities.”
“very enjoyable “
“the numeracy website looked amazing”

To all the staff who provided activities and set them up on
the website created by Ms Tran, many thanks for all the
hard work and enthusiasm you showed.

To all the students: we congratulate you for your efforts
and really appreciate your good natured participation
and enthusiasm. We hope that numeracy week activities
provided a welcome break from the day to day school work
and helped in some small way to show that teachers care
about your well being and want you to have some fun.
