Student Policies


Braybrook College believes that for students to have successful learning experiences, it is necessary to have a strong partnership where parents, the staff, and the students themselves all make significant contributions to learn, and be supportive of each other.

Some student policy examples are listed below.  Further explanation of these and other College policies can be found in the Student Diary

Overall Behaviours

  • Students must obey all reasonable requests of staff
  • They must never physically or verbally abuse others and should treat others with respect
  • Students should always respect the rights of others to learn
  • Students should respect the property of other students
  • Correct equipment must be bought to all classes.
  • Students should work to the best of their ability

Attendance and Punctuality

  • Students should be on time to all classes
  • Students who are late to school should report to the Attendance Office for a late pass
  • Students who are absent from school should have a parent / guardian phone the college to explain this absence, or bring a signed note upon returning to school

Uniform

  • It is compulsory for all students to wear College approved uniform each day
  • The uniform must be in good condition
  • Uniform items include Blazer, Shirt, Tie, Dress, Pants, Skirt, Shorts, Polo Shirt, Woollen Jumper, Windcheater, and Black Footwear
  • Sports uniforms are also enforced

Work Ethic and Study

  • Students must come to class with the correct equipment
  • Students are expected to complete the work in class, and that set as homework to the best of their ability
  • Diaries are expected in every class, and are to be used to record and plan homework, and organise daily activities
  • Mobile Phones are not permitted to be used at school during class or during break time. They should be stored in their lockers or lockers provided in each subschool office
