about Humanities at Braybrook College.

Students at Braybrook College study Humanities for four periods a week as a core subject from Years 7-10. We also offer History at Year 11 and 12 VCE. Students are encouraged to gain a deeper understanding of the topics through discussion, group activities, major projects, presentations, incursions, guest speakers, excursions and structured exams at the end of each semester.

Students are actively encouraged to participate in Humanities co-curricular activities run throughout the year. These include the National Geographic Australian Geography Competition, The Asia-Wise Quest and Humanities Week, a week-long celebration of all things History and Geography.

What we offer
At all year levels students are offered an array of topics and experiences that encourage a depth in understanding of their local community, Australia and the wider world.  Many of our students are eager participants in the Australian History Competition.

Year 10 students visit the Holocaust Museum

Students in Year 7 study History skills, Ancient civilisations, Geospatial skills, Endangered species and the Asia-Pacific region.
