The VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) is, in general, a two-year certificate conducted under the auspices of VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority), a Victorian Government instrumentality. Completion of the VCE may lead to a variety of future options including employment and/or further study at University or TAFE. VET (Vocational Education and Training) subjects are also offered and these provide credits for both the VCE and TAFE certificates. The VCE certificate may, in fact, be completed over a longer period than two years and many students at Braybrook College undertake an accelerated VCE Program by studying a Year 11 subject whilst in Year 10, and a Year 12 subject whilst in Year 11.Click here to view the subjects Braybrook College offers at VCE level
The VCE (VM) - Victorian Certificate of Education (Vocational Major) - is a two-year course. However, Braybrook College allows eligible students the opportunity to transfer into VCE VM after Year 11 VCE.
It prepares students to move into apprenticeships, traineeships, further education and training, university (via non-ATAR pathways) or directly into the workforce.
