National Solar Schools Program

Braybrook College received funding from the Australian Government for the National Solar Schools Program.  Braybrook College received additional funding from the Victorian Government’s Solar in Schools Initiative. Our solar panels are installed on the school roof and are generating electricity for the school. Excess power will be fed back to the grid.

Recycling
Braybrook College has programs in place for recycling of paper, cardboard, bottles and cans. Student monitors assist with the running of these program.

Water Tank
Using some of the money from the Australian Government’s National Solar Schools Programme, Braybrook College has installed a 22,000 litre water tank to water our magnificent gardens.

Lighting upgrade
Using some of the money from the Australian Government’s National Solar Schools Program, Braybrook College installed sensors and timers on lights as well as converting lights within several rooms to T5 efficient fluorescent globes.
